Eco Heating Specialists Ltd is a Kirklees-based renewable heating company founded by Chris Pearce and Rob Lewis.
We design and install air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, solar heating systems and associated hot water systems for homeowners, landlords and small developments across West Yorkshire.

Our Background
Eco Heating Specialists brings together two complementary disciplines: practical heating engineering and civil-geotechnical engineering.
That combination gives our clients something many installers cannot offer, both the real-world knowledge needed to fit and commission heating systems properly, and the technical oversight required to design them for efficiency, compliance and durability.
Chris Pearce – Technical Director
Chris has spent 26 years working as a Gas and Heating Engineer. For 23 of those years, he worked within a local government authority delivering gas installation, Chris has spent 26 years working as a Gas and Heating Engineer. For 23 of those years, he worked within a local government authority delivering gas installation, maintenance and repair services. That environment demanded strict compliance, clear documentation and consistent workmanship — standards that now shape how Eco Heating Specialists operates.
For the last 3 years, Chris has also owned Huddersfield Gas and Plumbing Ltd, building a strong local reputation for reliable installations and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Chris holds qualifications in:

His move into renewable heating is based on experience, not trends. As the UK moves towards lower-carbon solutions, heating systems need to be correctly sized, properly installed and fully commissioned. Chris brings the practical knowledge required to deliver that standard across domestic properties throughout West Yorkshire.

Rob Lewis – Engineering Oversight
Rob BSc(Hons) HND GMICE FGS is a Civil-Geotechnical Engineer and Managing Director of GeoEnviro Solutions Ltd.
His background is in ground engineering, infrastructure and construction risk management, bringing added technical scrutiny to heating system design, installation planning and long-term site suitability.
Through his geotechnical work, Rob has been directly involved in the drilling and installation of ground source heat pump loops, giving him valuable practical insight into how these systems interact with ground conditions, site constraints and long-term performance requirements.
He also began his career in the electricity generation industry with Powergen, developing an understanding of energy systems from generation through to end use.
This combination of geotechnical and energy knowledge strengthens Eco Heating Specialists’ ability to design and deliver air source, ground source and other renewable heating systems with a focus on performance, compliance and efficiency.
